Aircraft Safety Demo Kits: For Training or Flight Operations
The UK based aircraft cabin crew training equipment and systems supplier, Cabin Crew Safety, now offer solutions for both cabin crew training and crew operational use, with one example being one of the most popular items in their inventory; the aircraft cabin safety demonstration kit.
Originally developed as a cost effective training item, the Cabin Crew Safety aircraft safety demonstration kits remain a popular item that is sold to airlines and academies worldwide. A development of this training kit is the flight operations kit, designed to be used by cabin crew on board active aircraft and this item is already in service with several corporate jet clients as well as airlines.
The safety demo kits themselves are very similar however their method of use makes for some major differences; primarily because a professional kit needs to be certified and matched to the passenger equipment carried aboard the aircraft they are to be used with.
The Aircraft Safety Demo Kit for Training Use
The original training cabin crew safety demonstration kit is a generic item, which consists of the following items:
- Aircraft passenger extension belt or infant belt.
- Aircraft passenger safety card
- Aircraft cabin passenger oxygen mask
- Aircraft passenger life jacket
The items used in the crew training airline safety demonstration kit (Part: 82000022) are designed to give a comprehensive inventory of the items in a professional kit but may be branded with airline logos. These kits do not contain the paperwork necessary for flight operational use and are not treated with any fire retardant finish for aircraft cabin use.
The Crew Safety Demo Kit for Aircraft Flight Operations
The aircraft safety demonstration kits for flight operations use (Part: 82000016) contain:
- Aircraft passenger extension belt or infant belt.
- Passenger oxygen mask (dummy, ruggedised for demonstration purposes.
- Aircraft passenger life jacket (matched to the life preserver carried onboard the aircraft).
An airline passenger safety card is not included, as this is specific to the airline and aircraft purchasing the item (although Cabin Crew Safety does offer a very competitive airline passenger safety card design service).
Either aircraft safety demo kit is assembled for purpose from aircraft removed or surplus items and lead times are normally ex-stock for the training safety demo kit and around 2-3 weeks for the flight operational safety demo kit (depending on component lead times).
