New BE Aerospace training smoke hood
Training Smoke Hoods, or PBE, are an essential piece of aircraft emergency equipment and training to use them is an essential part of any flight attendant training. The range of training smoke hoods offered by Cabin Crew Safety are fully functional replica items that have been designed to give the crew member in training the experience of wearing and operating the manufacturers device but also to give long life to maximise the investment payback and keep operating costs low.
The BE Aerospace training smoke hood is the latest part of a range of training PBE that includes most of the common variations operated by different airlines and aircraft around the world.
The range already includes:
And further upgrades to the range, in the form of an upgrade to the existing Essex training PBE model, is also planned.
All of the training smoke hoods use the same replaceable neck seals, which are available as a latex neck seal or allergy free EDPM neck seal and this means only stocking one part where different smoke hood versions are used within an airline or training school.
As with all of the training smoke hoods the replica BE Aerospace unit is size and weight matched item manufactured to survive the rigours of regular training use, built for long life and easy repair and features replica activation controls that can be easily reset.
All training smoke hoods can be cleaned and repaired, which is a service that can be undertaken by Cabin Crew Safety and offered on a stock rotational basis.
