Increased Stock of Drager and Scott Type Training Smoke Hoods
Greater stock holding as global demand increases
An essential piece of training equipment for your cabin crew undertaking SEP emergency fire training, the cabincrewsafety range of training PBE smoke hoods have been designed to recreate the single-shot OEM smoke hood but offer increased life and low operating costs, with replaceable parts for easy cleaning or servicing.
These rugged and competitively priced smoke hoods have seen an increased demand as more and more airline cabin crew training organisations include them in their training equipment portfolio. The most popular replica training smoke hood PBE is the Drager E28180-10 training smoke hood but this is closely followed by the Scott Avox 802300-14. There is a definite pattern of usage for airlines depending on their geographical base.
During an average year of use Cabin Crew Safety recommends carrying two or three spare smoke hood neck seals in stock. In the training PBE these parts are securely held in place with Velcro and can be easily removed for replacement or cleaning. It is recommended that flight attendants remove all jewellery when undertaking SEP training with these smoke hoods, as rings and earrings can damage the latex PBE neck seals. In general use the neck seals should give reliable and long use but a standby can get your training back up and running in a few seconds (even increased stocks and regular global shipments by FedEx cannot beat having a spare to hand!)
Accessories for the training PBE smoke hood range include storage bags, a replica of the Drager smoke hood box and a new range of EDPM Non-Allergenic Neck Seals. These items are available separately.
