Recurrent Training: LED Fire and Smoke Module

A new range of portable lightweight fire and smoke training devices has been launched this week to aid airline crew recurrent training, in particular the extinguishing of an aircraft cabin fire.

Aircraft recurrent SEP training LED Fire and Smoke Module

The LED fire and smoke module uses 64 orange LEDs to produce a bright orange glow, which flickers to produce a realistic flame effect as well as playing an embedded fire sound through its own inbuilt amplifier.

The module will run from a suitable low voltage external 24VDC power source (international power supply available) and leaves no mess or residue as with some classic smoke based cabin training aids. It can therefore be deployed in any training environment without the risk of contamination to the surrounding area and is ideal for scenarios including:

  • Aircraft Galley Curtain Fire Training
  • Under floor Fire Training including Cargo Hold
  • Aircraft Toilet Fires
  • Aircraft Oven or other Galley Catering Equipment Fires
  • Cabin Service Gash Bag Fires
  • Cabin Overhead Locker Fires
  • Passenger Hand Baggage Fires
  • Aircraft Cabin Seat Fires
  • Aircraft Electrical Fires
  • Flight Deck Fires
  • Concealed Fires such as cabin wall, bulkhead or ceiling fires

The LED Fire and Smoke module is available through our equipment store, just search for LED Fire & Smoke Module.
